ontario

a few catch up things I missed. Dinner the last night in Winnipeg was great - met with Rhea and Henry again as well as Signy & Grant and surprise! got to see Richard and Caroline who live in Bermuda and were in town for a visit. After great wine and dinner (Winnipeg has great restaurants) were standing on the corner and bumped into Bryan, another old friend. Great to see him and catch up. Richard or Rhea - pls e-mail pics if you have a chance.

also, regarding the picture of Monique on the bridge, I have included a pic of the 2 bridges here to give you a sense of where she was.

also, G-Spot - wanted to let you know that since Aneeda did not have Hot Sex with you, she was able to have it with me a few evenings by the campfire and a couple of mornings with our coffee!

so, when last updated we were in a bar in Sudbury. camped overnite outside Sudbury and then on to wine country after a run in Parry Sound (gorgeous) and a painfully slow drive on the QEW from Toronto to Hamilton. Went for a bike ride Thursday a.m. and stumbled upon a winery (Cave Springs), museum and small town not far from campground. from there hopped in the van and toured wineries - Monique tasted and Randy drove. and then to see Niagara Falls and all the tacky tourist attractions around the town.

during the day arranged to meet Andrew and Lisa (friends recently moved to Oakville from Wpg) Saturday. But then Andrew phoned and offered us Buffalo Bills tickets for Friday. To which Monique asked "who are the Buffalo Bills?"

so friday went to Oakville, found their house, picked up tix and went to Buffalo! a quick stop at the New York county fair (2nd biggest in the country but pretty much just like every other fair you have ever been to..) and then to the game. arrived a couple hours prior to tailgate - met some great people and had a great time. they even guided us out of the parking lot and back to the border after a post game beer!

Saturday a couple more wineries (Monique drove, Randy tasted) and our 12 bottle budget somehow climbed to 16. and then to visit Andrew, Lisa, Hayley, Sydney and Martha for a great dinner - thx.

Sunday to Brighton to visit Monique's cousin Paul and Rhonda. nice place in the country and got to sleep in a real bed and have a real shower!

Monday to Ottawa. After initial parking/driving issues we had a great time touring, mostly on Tuesday. A lot of it on bikes as the trail system is great. Toured the National Gallery of Canada (Renoir landscapes were great, the modern art is beyond our understanding) and Parliament Building and saw the evening Sound and Light show where they project right on the buildings. A little hokie but kind of neat.

that's it for now - first night in Quebec tonite. Hope everyone is doing great - miss you all.
Randy & Monique

Randy Monique Love your travel blog. I enjoy a break from work now and again to see what the "leisurely" are doing. Looks like you are having a blast and you must be getting along famously together as i see you both made ot past Niagara Falls without incident. Stay safe and keep up the good blogging.

It sounds like you are having a wonderful trip while comparing the beverages of each province as you travel. I enjoy reading of your exploits. If you are not too busy, perhaps you could update us more often.
